Sri Nanneshwara Temple
Hinkal is a place inside Mysore city. Sri Nanneshwara Temple was built around 9th-10th century AD and is in Ganga style of architecture. Mukhamantapa and clostier mantapa belongs to Wodeyar period. The restoration work was carried out during 2008-09.During restoration all the stones were dismantled, cleaned and re-built after strengthening the adhisthana. Suitable Shikara over garbhagriha was newly built as per the original style. Flooring inside and outside pradakshinapatha of the temple was laid with stone slabs. After the restoration work, daily pooja is now being performed in this temple attracting many devotees as it is in the city.
