Sri Ramalingeshwara Temple
Yelavatti village is about 15kms from Hangal town and adjacent to Hangal-Hubli main road. Sri Ramalingeshwara Temple at Hangal is in typical Chalukyan style of architecture and built in 10th century AD. This is a Protected Monument of Department of State Archeology, Government of Karnataka. The temple consists of Garbhagriha, Antarala and Navaranga. The temple was in total dilapidated condition almost covered with the earth. The debris over the structure was completely removed, the stone members were dismantled, chemically cleaned and reconstructed as per the original after strengthening the foundation. The restoration work took up during 2003-04. After the restoration work, the daily pooja is being performed in this temple and which attracts many number of devotees.
