Sri Arkeshwara Temple

Malali village is at a distance of 8kms from Shantigrama on Hassan-Bangalore Highway. The temple dates back to 9th-10th century AD built in Hoysala style of architecture. The complex has sepearte Arkeshwara and ParvatiDevi temples. Shikara was built over both garbhagrihas in Kadambanagara style of architecture. Another interesting feature is that the top of the shikhara the stone kalasha is having four rectangular projections. The temple in dilapidated condition was restored during 2008-09. After restoration of the temple daily pooja is being performed.
