Sri Malleshwara Temple
Mangadahally village is situated at a distance of about 12kms from Chennapatna town. Sri Malleshwara Temple at Mangadahally belongs to Chola period. The temple consists of garbhagriha, antarala and navaranga. The temple was in total dilapidated condition and was required early restoration due to growth of vegetation. The temple was dismantled, stones were kept separately, cleaned, adhisthana was strengthened and structure was re-built substituting the new stone members in place of damaged/broken. Suitable shikara over garbhagriha was built. Flooring inside and outside pradakshinapatha of the temple was laid with granite stone slabs. Prakara/linkmesh was put for protection of the monument. The proposed restoration of the temple was carried out during 2008-09. After the restoration work, daily pooja is now being performed in this temple.
